Terms & Policies
Booking an appointment
Thank you for your interest in scheduling a session! Scheduling an appointment is necessary to be seen. Walk-ins are not possible at this time. Please contact Chelsey Swan, LMT, directly, to schedule a massage. You may use the "Contact" form submission on this website, or send an email to cswan.lmt@gmail.com.
Payment
Payment is accepted via cash, credit cards, debit cards, and HSA/FSA cards. Due to poor reimbursement rates, Chelsey does not bill insurance. If you would like to try to submit the sessions to your insurance company yourself, Chelsey can provide you with a superbill. Please call your insurance company ahead of time to confirm whether they will accept this from you.
Cancellation Policy and Missed Appointments
Please provide me with 48-business hour notice of any schedule changes or cancellations requests. Please understand that when you cancel or miss your appointment without providing 48-hour notice, I am often unable to fill that appointment time. This is an inconvenience to your therapist and also means my other clients miss the chance to receive services they need. Sessions that are cancelled or missed without 48-business hour notice will be charged the usual session rate via Venmo or credit card. Multiple missed appointments may result in termination of care.
I understand that emergencies can arise and illnesses do occur at inopportune times. If you have a fever, a known infection, or have experienced vomiting or diarrhea within 24 hours prior to your appointment time, I request that you cancel your session. Inclement weather may also result in necessary late cancellations. I will do my best to give advanced notice if I am closing or need to cancel due to bad weather and ask that you do the same. Please do not risk your safety trying to make your appointment. Late cancellation due to emergency, illness, or inclement weather will generally not result in any charges, but this is determined on a case-by-case basis.
Late Arrival Policy
Please arrive 5-10 minutes prior to your appointment to allow time to fill out any required paperwork as well as answer any intake questions your therapist may have. I understand that issues can arise that may cause you to be late for your appointment. Appointment times are reserved for each client, so oftentimes we cannot exceed that reserved time without making the next client late. For this reason, arriving after your appointment time may result in a loss of time from your massage so that your session ends at the scheduled time. Full service fees will be charged even when sessions are shortened due to late arrival.
Inappropriate Behavior and Right of Refusal Policy
Massage therapy is for therapeutic and relaxation purposes only. There is absolutely no sexual component to massage whatsoever. Any insinuation, joke, gesture, conversation, or request otherwise will result in immediate termination of your session and a refusal of any and all services in the future. You will be charged the full service fee regardless of the length of your session. Depending on the behavior exhibited, Swan Perinatal Services & Family Massage, LLC may also file a report with the local authorities.
If you appear to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs, have an infectious illness, do not maintain standard hygiene, push for treatment outside the scope of practice of your therapist, or behave inappropriately, Swan Perinatal Services and Family Massage has the right to refuse service or terminate a session. This is for your own safety as well as your therapist’s and her other clients.
